Dog breeding has always been a family affair for us. My mom, Kim, has been breeding dogs for over 25 years. She began with collies, earning a strong reputation and deep knowledge in the dog world. After many successful years, she decided to transition to a smaller, more family-friendly breed — and that’s when she fell in love with the cockapoo.

 

Cockapoos quickly won her heart with their non-shedding coats, gentle temperaments, and perfect, low-maintenance size. They’re affectionate, intelligent, and adaptable — truly the ideal companion.

 

We regularly hear from families whose beloved cockapoos lived happy, healthy lives well into their late teens — a testament to the breed’s longevity and resilience.

 

About nine years ago, I (Ashley) got my first cockapoo from my mom — and that was it for me. I was hooked. Since then, I’ve become just as passionate about both the cockapoo and cavapoo breeds. I always tell people they’re the perfect size: small enough to cuddle on your lap, but sturdy enough to join you on hikes or runs.
